Freddy's Restaurant Review
On this week's Grease Pit Restaurant Review I have decided to review Freddy's. The first thing that stands out when visiting Freddy's is the old school feel of the restaurant. The building has the feel of an old school diner and makes you feel like you are in a different era. The red and white color scheme and the 60's music playing in the background adds to this feeling. The Freddy's in Waco happens to be a place that my grandparents always visit when driving through Waco. When asking them why they always stop at Freddy's my grandfather answered, "Eating here reminds me of my teenage years so it is always fun to stop by when visiting Waco." This is something that makes the restaurant a fun place to go for people that are from that generation but for Baylor students it might not have the same appeal.
This is something that holds back the restaurant from being a place that Baylor students frequently visit because it is not as cool of a place to go as other restaurants in the city. Students still go here, but it is not as high on the list of options as places such as Chic-fil-a or Chipotle. Part of this is due to the fact that students aren't as familiar with Freddy's as other restaurants such as McDonald's or Chic-fil-a. However, I do think that the food at Freddy's is very good. The steakburgers along with their thin french fries are very good and I would consider it to be some of the best fast food in Waco. Additionally, they have a fry sauce that I think is one of the best sauces available at any fast food place but I still think that there are other sauces available that are better. Overall, I think that Freddy's is somewhere that is good to visit occasionally, but it might not be somewhere that would be my first option when choosing a place to eat. I would have to give Freddy's a 7 out of 10 rating for my Grease Pit Reviews.
