Chipotle Restaurant Review

On this week's Grease Pit Restaurant Review post I will be reviewing my experience at Chipotle. Earlier this week me and a group of friends decided to get dinner at Chipotle. Once we arrived, one of the first things that I noticed was that the restaurant was fairly crowded. This is something that I have noticed happening frequently at this location. A large reason for this is the quality of food combined with somewhat reasonable prices. This is a good combination for Baylor students because Chipotle offers high quality and quantity food at a price that is comparable to what you would spend at Cane's, Whataburger, etc. Additionally, when at Chipotle, you get the feeling that you are not even eating fast food.

This is something that people love, because they get the sense that they are eating healthy with the nutritional value in a Chipotle bowl. Something that helps with this psychologically is that customers can see the food being prepared in the back because of the open layout. This lets the customer know that they are actually preparing the food, not just microwaving food and putting it in a bowl.

Additionally, the customization at Chipotle is something that is valuable to customers. The ability to alter your order any time you visit the restaurant, or trying different combinations until you land on the perfect order is something that keeps consumers coming back not feeling like the food gets boring or old. For me personally, I love changing a couple items in or out of my order whenever I go in order to search for what I feel like is the perfect order.

Another important trait to look at when reviewing a restaurant is the quality of the customer service. After my visit, I would not say that customer service is a top priority at this Chipotle location. The employees seemed to be more concerned with moving the bowls on to the next station in the assemble line rather than focusing on the needs of the customer. Overall, I think that this is the only thing holding Chipotle back and this drops what could have been a perfect score to a 9.7/10.
