Raising Cane's Restaurant Review

This week I decided to choose Raising Cane’s Chicken as my first restaurant to review in the grease pit. I have been to this Cane’s many times while at Baylor so it was interesting to look at the restaurant in a different light than before. Before I start my review I want to clarify what the scenario was of me reviewing Cane’s. Right as the rain delay started in the Baylor football game against Long Island, some of my friends and I started to make plans for lunch. We decided on Cane’s and once we got there we realized that many other Baylor fans had the same idea. So, I thought this was a good opportunity to see how Cane’s ran with it being crowded.

Something that stood out to me from the beginning of my visit was the quality of the customer service. After ordering my food I went to fill up my cup with sweet tea but then I was distraught when I realized they were out. So, I went to the counter and asked one of the employees if she could bring out more tea. Not only did she go to put more sweet tea out in the front of the restaurant, she also took my cup and filled it up without any complaining. Additionally, once my friends and I were finishing eating, an employee came by our table and offered to pick up our empty trays. This stood out to me because service as good as this is uncommon in many fast food places today.

Another aspect that the restaurant excelled in was the food. For how busy the restaurant was, our food was ready surprisingly quickly and it tasted hot and freshly prepared. Additionally, I was in a group of 7 people and all of our meals were prepared correctly, with no mistakes being made in the orders. Once I started eating, I was reminded of how good the food at Cane’s is. The chicken has a good amount of breading and is not too greasy. Another thing that sets Cane’s apart is their sauce. It goes so well with their chicken and is one of the main reasons to go to the restaurant. Along with this, the toast is delicious and I think that the only thing that is holding Cane’s back is the fries. They aren’t bad, but they are clearly the weak point in the meal.

Overall, I would rate my experience at Cane’s a 9.5 out of 10, which is currently at the top of the leaderboard in my grease pit reviews.
